Celebrity Style Watch

Winona Ryder and Kate Moss – both of whom were once engaged to Johnny Depp – find common ground in their passion for fashion, shopping together at Marc Jacobs's New York City store on Wednesday.

Mischa Barton is one busy lady, making several fashionable appearances while jet-setting around New York's Fashion Week on Wednesday. The actress (from left) showed off her floral instincts at a Saks Fifth Avenue bash, went a bit dotty at the Mischon Schur show and ended the night with a frill to check out Anna Sui's runway collection.

The Texan beauty plays up her petite frame with strapless dresses in bold colors and prints, whether on her way to lunch in L.A. (left) or at a gala in Nanette Lepore polka dots. And unlike Gabrielle, she doesn't have to worry about mowing the lawn in any of them.

Nicole Richie, who celebrates her 25th birthday on Thursday, makes a bright addition in blue at Paltrow's Estée Lauder luncheon in Beverly Hills.

Always up for a new look, Mischa Barton mixes and matches patterns in her mod Mulberry dress and patchwork purse.

Charlie Chaplin goes glam? Lindsay Lohan adds a bowler hat and rhinestone-encrusted pumps to her shorts and off-the-shoulder leopard-print top.

Kate Moss for Topshop

Kate Moss is one of the most beautiful "IT" girl ever grace the fashion world. I used to envy her to bits when she was dating Johnny Depp back in the 90s. In fact, I secretly hated her for breaking up the "Winona & Johnny" dream team. Anyway, we grow up and move on. Despite the drug fiasco, Kate has scored herself a record of 18 ad campaigns - you go, girl! I mean you buy any fashion magazines and you're bound to catch her in 5 ads or more - ranging from Louis Vuitton, Long Champ, CK Jeans, David Yurman, Burberry, Versace, Bvlgari to Christian Dior and the list goes on.

Now, she will be designing her own range of chic clothing for Topshop which will be launched next Spring. “We wanted to work with Kate because she has style and she has taste. I think everyone knows this and I think most people think it’s a smart idea,” Topshop’s owner Phillip Green told FWD on Wednesday.

"I have always been a big fan of Topshop and regularly shop there. I love what they stand for and am very excited at the thought of working with them. It's going to be great fun," Moss said a statement. Kate has proved more influential than many designers today. What she is wearing often becomes a huge trend for girls in their teens and women in their twenties and fashion editors on both sides of the Atlantic have credited her with sparking the return to fashion of skinny jeans, mini-dresses and hot-pants.

You know what. I'm actually excited about being blown away by her collection. I admire her greatly (I even buy magazines because I see Kate on the cover. Sssh.) and I believe Topshop is gonna make a helluva *ka-ching* from this deal. I hate you, Phillip Green for making us poor. Time to save up, girls.

L.A.M.B. Spring 2007 Collection

I love Gwen Stefani. She's the epitome of modern-day glam rock. She's THE fashion-forward rock icon. She's a yummy mummy. And, to top all of that... she has her own chic label, L.A.M.B. and she just launched her Spring 2007 collection at Olympus Fashion Week Spring 2007 on September 15, 2006 at Jane Street, New York City. Gwen Stefani also shows the Spring 2007 collection at New York Fashion week. Stefani's new pieces are inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer's '70s looks in the 1983 gangster classic Scarface. Check out her tres fabulous designs:

We can't emphasize enough on animal print this season and it seems like Gwen wants to 'bling' it on to next Spring! So, start unleashing the animal in you!

This asymmetrical dress is hot. Also, it looks divine against the model's au lait skin.

Woah, this screams Kill Bill meets El Mariachi! Get ready to kick some butt in this yellow Mexican-inspired track suit. Hai-yakkk!

Gwen also designs bags as well. I love this skirt with geometry print. It's simple yet chic. The styling is perfect and those bootsss!

I would buy this in a heartbeat. This slip dress looks damn comfy and funky. You could pair it with a thick waist belt or wear it over a pair of skinny pants. Absolutely hot.

Kooky Top of the Day: Nine O'Clock

The name can't get any kookier than the design. This piece, Nine O'Clock by Veritas et Pulchra is a crazy one-off piece that screams for attention. Loads of attention. Built from scratch. one-of-a-kind. seafoam green. plaid collar with vintage button. open neckline. vintage material flap with vintage button and red edging. original silkscreen design with handpainting. red stitching throughout. barely there sleeves. slim fit.

There are more cool stuff from the designer but it's 12am.. I'm a little sleepy. Promise I'll post a longer one tomorrow. Adios.

Laurel Wells Fall 2006 Collection

One of my personal favourite, Laurel Wells or affectionately known as Laurie Loo designs some of the most original ready-to-wear stuff. Her 2006 Fall Collection is infinitely impressive with its well-constructed pieces that creates sexy silhouettes for your body. The color scheme is muted yet beautiful. Thus, Laurel Wells' collection resonates the light, clean and elegant element in you, making you feel every inch a beautiful woman.

This unique fan pleated top is constructed from light taupe cotton spandex sateen, and trimmed with black at the neckline and shoulder straps, as well as the nipped waist. A wide ivory satin ribbon ties in a bow at the back. Eye-catching fan pleating adorns the left hand side of the top, and in two layers below the waist. A back zipper closure fastens the piece. Plueys Celebrates the Rain!

Move over fugly yellow 'Phua Chu Kang' boots! Plueys is the alternative chic, fun solution to never getting your pretty shoes wet again! It's a combination of style and practicality. The name Plueys is a cheeky adaptation on the French 'pluie' for 'rain', because these are the humble rubber boots of our childhood reinvented with brave, bright and fun designs which recall the simple joys in life - like playing in the rain. Made from durable natural rubber, Plueys are perfect for dressing up or dressing down, for the backyard, at the beach, walking the dog and (of course) stomping in puddles - whether at the playground or on Orchard Road! Now, we all have a reason to wear "boots" in (sunny) wet Singapore.

Fear no water! Kick freely with zero guilt!

Stroll along Orchard in chic rubber boots. And, be the first to do so!
Plueys are available in Singapore from Eggthree.

Clutch Me

I love clutch bags. They're great when it's time to travel light especially for late night out with your gal pals or a hot date. There are so many clutch bags out there in the retail stores these days. Polka dots are nice but abit commercialized. That's the strange thing about S'pore fashion scene. Everyone wants to carry the same bag! We lack individuality here. I can't stress this even more, the Internet rocks. Go out there and find something truly "you" on cyberspace! Here are some ideas:

Myna Bags has a hot collection of clutch bags. Myna bags are available at Quintessential at Mandarin Gallery and they cost about $120 if I'm not mistaken. There's a whole range there - so do check out. Here's a tip, they're having sale on their website. Hee.

As seen in Lucky Magazine, Carmen clutch from bells&whistles, constructed from supple black leather, is gathered at the top to provide a soft, pliable shape, and snaps open and shut with an interior frame. The front of the bag is adorned with sea grass appliqués in iridescent sand leather. I would love to have this primarily because it's versatile and the print is lovely. Go textile!

Emma Gordon London Cerise Coco Clutch is a fiesty bag! Constructed from soft cerise velvet, the bag has a wide vertical band trimmed with metallic gold piping and accented with a covered velvet button. The band wraps around the bag and fastens at the front with a magnetic snap closure. Emma Gordon never failed to amaze me with her gorgeous bags. They're also available here in Singapore from Conversation Pieces.

Myna Bags Raquel Clutch is constructed from a brown leopard print, is softly gathered at the top frame, which snaps open and close. A wide metallic gold lambskin band wraps the bag and flaunts a gold ring accent. Animal print is in! This clutch definitely roars, I swear.
