Grammy Fashion Flash 2007

Nude colors. Subdued styles. That pretty much sums of this year's Grammys.

She's your Dreamgirl. Beyonce wore a champagne-colored strapless dress by Giorgio Armani Prive with crystals on the bustline and waistline.

Ain't no other man, can't pull it off like Christina Aguilera! Christina Aguilera looks elegant in an Ungaro white strapless gown with purple trim around the bust and a beige ribbon around her waist.

I was never a fan of her style choices but this time, Vanessa Minnillo blew me away with this shimmery silver mini dress! It's uber-cute!

This is no family affair. Mary J. Blige looked classy in Michael Kors' nude-colored, V-neck beaded gown with a metallic belt. According to the star herself, "I had this plan for about three months. I walked into a Michael Kors store, and Michael Kors' mother was there, Joan Kors, and she was having a trunk show and there were models there. And I saw the dress and said put that dress on that model. The model was built and shaped like me. I said that's my Grammy dress. Put it on hold." So now you know.

Here's a secret: I am infatuated with Scarlett Johansson. Doesn't she look absolutely gorgeous as a Grammys presenter? She wore a navy-and-black cocktail dress with a fitted corset by Monique Lhuillier.

Nelly Furtado is one hot mama. She look fabulous in this itsy-bitsy white and gold cocktail gown by Roberto Cavalli although some fashion critics have said otherwise.

I love her songs but I'm not such a fan of her... err, individuality thing. Imogen Heap says, "A fabulous designer from Los Angeles got in touch with me via MySpace asking me if she could make my Grammy dress, and this is what happened." Haha, this woman has a sense of humour - that's how she earned the final spot on this Grammys entry.

V-Day: Scent of a Woman

V-Day is just around the corner. Whether you're single or happily attached to your boy, let's celebrate the power of L-O-V-E. According to this month's feature article in Reader's Digest, the most powerful attractant of all - is invisible. To scientifically illustrate it (from RD), we are lured to individuals whose immune system varies from our own, as it confers an evolutionary advantage on any offspring. And the way to do this is to sniff it out.

In the fashionista terms, there is a link between the scent of a woman or a man and 'mate selection'. Besides, it's also a subtle way to vibe your personality besides smelling great. To make sure you're giving out the right scent to the opposite sex, here's a list of fragrances that might help you snag that hottie for V-Day (and every other day):

Note: This list is created from extensive Internet research and online votes! (and you won't find Chanel No. 5 on the list - too bold for my liking)

For the Tropical Babes

Estee Lauder's Pleasure Exotic
This is my staple scent and it's first on the list, hehe. Let this tropical delight tempt you with its sparkling blend of exotic fruits and shimmering flowers. This delicious fragrance is a fusion of mango passion fruit cocktail, juicy citrus fruits and watery lychee combined with island bamboo flowers, orangeblossom and dewy bougainvillea vine.

For the Sensual Ladies

Calvin Klein's Euphoria
A crowd favorite! The scent has top notes of pomegranate, persimmon and lush green accord; a heart of dewy lotus blossom, champaca flower and black orchid, and a drydown of liquid amber, black violet, cream accord and mahogany wood.

For the Charming Individual

Burberry Brit by Burberry for Women
The Brit girl embodies the playful British spirit of individuality. She's outrageous, but always charming and unpredictably sexy. Fresh and playful, the fragrance is a classic, green-oriental blend of lush fruits, sweet nutty essences, and soothing amber, vanilla, and Tonka bean.

For the Happy Bunny

Clinique's Happy In Bloom
From the raging success of Clinique's Happy, here comes the new fragrance from the same line. Happy in Bloom ...a fresh floral. It features the floral heart of the original Happy, teamed with chilled, watery notes designed to evoke frosty mornings and dew-laden flowers, according to Clinique. Key ingredients include yellow plum, muguet, white freesia, mimosa and white wood.

For the Pretty Princess

Vera Wang's Princess
Created for the playful, unpredictable, independent woman who treats every day like an event and adventure. This is a woman who likes to make her own magic, this sheer, flirty blend of water lily, lady apple, mandarin meringue, and golden apricot skin are melded with sheer floral notes, accented with dark chocolate, and finished with a pink frosting accord, amber, warm woods, musk, and vanilla - a whimsical treat.

For the Temptress

DKNY's Red Delicious
DKNY introduces a second bite of temptation with a new, limited-edition scent. Aptly named DKNY Red Delicious, this sexy fragrance is a bit more daring, a bit more tantalizing - completely irresistible.A glittering champagne accord shimmers with exotic lychee, while red raspberry flirtatiously mingles with crisp apple. The heart intensifies with rich, velvety rose combined with lush notes of drenched violet petals, evolving to a rich, sensual blend of vanilla bean crushed with warm patchouli and a luminous amber note. Capping off the sultry experience, a sensual skin accord mixes with raspberry for a soft kiss of sweetness.

For the Anybody, Everybody

Calvin Klein's One
After so many years, you can't go wrong with this. cK One is a naturally clean, pure, and contemporary fragrance with a refreshingly new point of view. This light, relaxed scent is meant to be used lavishly. cK One Eau de Toilette can literally be splashed all over the body. It is an intimate fragrance, one that you need to be near to smell.
